Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been tracking M’Vila for some time now and admitted in the July 2011 that he was a big fan of the tough tackling midfielder.
It’s believed Wenger tried to land the 21-year-old in the summer on transfer deadline day but saw his bid of around £10m knocked back by French club Rennes.
The Arsenal supremo is rumoured to be considering reigniting his interest with a January move however they may face competition from Man Utd, who are also believed to be tracking the highly-rated midfielder as Sir Alex Ferguson looks for midfield reinforcements.
The players agent Marc Formeaux, who also represents Arsenal target Eden Hazard, has warned it will take a bid of €20m to land the promising French international, and he also revealed that M’Vila has interest from Serie A, but suggested the clubs may struggle to meet his valuation and also convince the player to move to Italy.
‘Regarding M’Vila, he is valued at €20m (£16.6m) and he does not know where he wants to go.
‘In Italy, they have linked him to Inter and AC Milan, but we will have to see who can pay his price and then convince him to join them.’
