Wolves vs Man City: Preview, Team News, Likely Line-ups & Predicted Score
Manchester City play relegation-threatened Wolves at Molinuex on Sunday. Here is a preview with team news, likely line-ups and predicted score for the big game.
Manchester City will hope to keep up the pressure on league leaders Manchester United as they play relegation-threatened Wolves at Molineux on Sunday.
City could find themselves 8 points behind their title rivals by the time they play on Sunday afternoon, with United playing Everton at Old Trafford in the early lunch-time kick off. Roberto Mancini has publicly conceded the title, but the City players have made it clear they won’t give up until it’s mathematically impossible.
City go into the game off the back of resounding victories over West Brom and Norwich, and will look to make it three wins on the bounce ahead of next weekends potential title-deciding clash with United at the Etihad.
Terry Connor is still searching for his first win as Wolves boss and his side are odds on to be relegated this season after a disastrous run of seven consecutive defeats left them rooted at the foot of the league table. The run was ended with a goalless draw with Sunderland last week, but Wanderers have still lost their last nine games at Molineux.
Team news
Connor will have to make do without the services of Wayne Hennessey after the goalkeeper’s season was ended by a cruciate knee ligament injury. Dorus de Vries will come in to replace the Welsh international.
Sebastien Bassong is back after completing a suspension, while Roland Zubar and David Edwards are also back in contention. Matt Jarvis is likely to be recalled along with Kevin Doyle. Jamie O’Hara remains on the sidelines.
Roberto Mancini is expected to continue with Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez in attack, as Mario Balotelli completes his three-match ban after being sent off against Arsenal.
Micah Richards and Yaya Toure could be recalled after missing out against Norwich.
Likely Line-ups
Predicted Score
Wolves woes are set to continue here as Terry Connor’s men take one step closer to relegation to the Championship, while City keep their title-hopes alive for another week. Wolves 0-3 Man City.
