Galatasaray vs Man Utd Preview: Team News, Likely Line-ups & Predicted Score
Manchester United take on Galatasaray in Turkey on Tuesday night in the Champions League . Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups and predicted score
Manchester United head to ‘hell’ to face Galatasaray safe in the knowledge they have already qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
United secured their place as Group H winners with a 3-1 victory over Braga last time out to make it four wins from four games. This has given Sir Alex Ferguson the luxury of being able to leave behind several key names for the trip to Turkey.
Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Antonio Valencia are just some of the players who haven’t made the journey.
However, any team managed by Sir Alex will be competitive and wont be giving Galatasaray an easy ride tonight. The Turkish giants sit level on points with CFR Cluj in second so a win tonight will go a long way to securing their place in the last 16.
Team News
Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim has virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from, with only Tomas Ujfalusi missing through a long-term injury.
Aydin Yilmaz has been a slight doubt due to flu but is expected to be fit to start tonight.
United will give some fringe players a chance to shine with the likes of Danny Wlebeck, Anderson and Darren Fletcher all expected to start, Phil Jones makes his long-awaited return from injury and will start at the back.
Javier Hernandez is expected to lead the line with experienced names such as Ashley Young and Michael Carrick also in the starting eleven.
Likely Line-ups
Predicted Score
Despite the long list of names left behind, United are still able to field a relatively experienced line-up that should give Galatasaray a decent game. We can see a score draw tonight. Galatasaray 1-1 United.
