Manchester United eased past West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon to maintain their seven-point advantage over Manchester City.
United took the lead when McAuley put through his own net in the 9th minute and it took until the 90th minute for United to seal the win when sub van Persie curled home a lovely effort.
