Liverpool welcome European champions Chelsea to Anfield on Sunday afternoon looking to dent the Londoners hopes on securing a top-four place this season.

Much of the pre-match talk has centrered around the return of former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez but the Merseysiders will be going all-out to prevent the Spaniard and his Chelsea side from collecting an important three points in their search for Champions League qualification.

Ahead of the game, Reds boss Brenden Rodgers has given Liverpoolfc.com a team news and injury latest and the good news is that he has no fresh injury worries to contend with following last weeks disappointing 0-0 draw with Reading.

Rodgers confirmed he’ll have the same squad to choose from as last weeks game meaning the only players missing are long-term injury victims Martin Kelly, Fabio Borini and Joe Allen while Raheem Sterling continues to be ‘rested’ as the Liverpool staff look to protect him from burn-out.

“We’ve got no changes, really – the squad is what it is.

“It’s the same group as last week.”
