Arsenal Make Offer For Alexis Sanchez With Barca Attacker Keen On Move To England
Some exciting news is coming out of Chile Arsenal fans with reports claiming that we’ve made an offer for want-away Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez.
As we approach the opening of the summer window clubs will be intensifying their efforts in the transfer market so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Gooner Mac brings us news on Alexis Sanchez.
Some exciting news is coming out of Chile Arsenal fans, with reports claiming that we’ve made an offer for want-away Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez.
According to media outlet COPE, Chilean journalist Rodrigo Norambuena – who works for Fox Sports – has claimed that Sanchez is not happy at Barcelona due to his poor relationship with Lionel Messi and has asked his agent to find him a new club this summer.
Speculation has suggested that Barcelona are willing to cash-in on the Chilean international as he’s not part of new boss Luis Enrique’s first team plans, and understandably he’s not going to be short of offers.
The 25-year-old has been linked with several clubs in recent weeks and Norambuena states that despite Juventus currently being closest to agreeing a deal, the player in fact wants a move to England and Arsenal are understood to be one of the clubs who have made a formal offer for his services.
Obviously we’re not going to be the only English club interested and COPE name Liverpool and Manchester United as also being in the running, but this is some exciting news if these reports are accurate.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks Sanchez would be the ideal signing for Arsenal this summer, as he has everything we need to add to the squad – pace, power and a real goal-threat. Like many, I’m surprised Barcelona are willing to let him go but if he’s not getting along with Messi, we all know which side the Catalans will take.
Sanchez has never really established himself since moving fro Udinese three years ago but despite his bit-part role, he’s still managed to score 47 goals and provide 34 assists for his team mates in 141 appearances, which are some impressive figures. He’s also showing what he’s capable of with Chile at the World Cup and put in another excellent display during last nights 2-0 win over Spain.

It’s not going to be easy as we face some stiff competition, but I’d be delighted to see us bring him to the Emirates this summer. Just think of Sanchez being supplied by Mesut Ozil next season, it would be truly devastating…..
