[Player Ratings] Arsenal 4-1 Galatasaray: Welbeck & Sanchez Run Riot For Gunners

Arsenal produced their best performance of the season to thrash a poor Galatasaray side 4-1 at the Emirates on Wednesday night with Danny Welbeck helping himself to a hat-trick.

Here are player ratings from Gooner Mac:

Szczesny 5/10 | Very careless to get himself sent off when we were so comfortable in the game.

Chambers 7/10 | Solid display from the youngster. Got caught out for pace a few times but always gave 100%.

Mertesacker 6.5/10 | Kept Yilmaz relatively quiet except when he got free to win the penalty.

Koscielny 7/10 | Pretty comfortable night for the Frenchman. Held firm when we went down to 10-men.

Gibbs 7/10 | Was always keen to get forward and combined well with Sanchez on several occasions.

Flamini 6.5/10 | Picked up a silly booking but was otherwise effective in front of the defence.

Oxlade-Chamberlain 8/10 | Excellent performance from the Ox. His pace caused Galatasaray problems and he set up Welbeck for his third.

Cazorla 7.5/10 | Was deployed in a deeper central role and was surprisingly effective. Showed some great touches and kept the ball moving forward’s quickly.

Sanchez 8/10 | Lovely assist for Welbeck’s first and got himself on the scoresheet. Another impressive night’s work. Is settling in nicely.

Ozil 7.5/10 | Grabbed an excellent assist for Sanchez’s goal and was a constant threat. Tired towards the end though.

Welbeck 9/10 | Unplayable. All three of his goals were superb finishes and he showed just how much potential he’s got as a centre-forward. His movement was exceptional and his pace gives us a real outlet.

Subs:

Ospina 7/10 – Made a couple of decent stops after coming on.

Rosicky 6.5/10 – Solid 20 minutes from the Czech.

Wilshere 6.5/10 – Perhaps a surprise he came on with Chelsea in mind but still kept things ticking over in midfield.
