Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Tottenham when they take on Leicester City at the Emirates on Tuesday night. Here is the side Gooner Mac thinks Arsene Wenger will select:
Goalkeeper: David Ospina had a mixed game against Spurs but I don’t think he did enough wrong to deserve being dropped, so I think we’ll see him keep Szczesny out the team again tomorrow.
Defence: We certainly weren’t at our best in defence against Spurs and Wenger may decide to mix things up. I can see Kieran Gibbs being recalled at left-back and Calum Chambers could also be back in contention – although I think the boss will end up sticking with Hector Bellerin at right-back. Gabriel Paulista could come into Arsene’s thoughts but it’s more likely he’ll make his debut against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup at the weekend so Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny should continue at the back.
Midfield: Francis Coquelin should keep his place ahead of Mathieu Flamini in midfield but I think we’ll see one of Santi Cazorla or Aaron Ramsey left-out. Ramsey was very poor against Spurs and to be honest he deserves to be dropped but if Ozil is going to keep his place then to protect the balance of the team we might see Santi rested with Ozil playing more centrally alongside Ramsey.
Attack: Alexis Sanchez is back in contention after missing the last two games with a hamstring strain and he should start on the left. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out of the game with a groin injury while Danny Welbeck may struggle to play two games in four days after only just returning from a thigh injury, so Theo Walcott should start on the right. Olivier Giroud is likely to spearhead the attack.
Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:
What do you think of the team and what eleven would you pick?
