[Tweets] Rooney, De Gea & More: Man Utd Players React Online To Win Over Burnley
Wayne Rooney and David De Gea are among the Man Utd players to celebrate online after United beat Burnley 3-1 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Manchester United were made to work hard for the three points but they eventually overcame Burnley 3-1 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Defender Chris Smalling was the unlikely hero as he came off the bench to score two headers either side of a Danny Ings effort to make it 2-1 at the break.
As the visitors pushed for an equaliser, United sealed the three points when Robin van Persie converted from the penalty spot after Angel Di Maria had been fouled in the area.
The win sees United move back up to third in the Premier League table and on course to qualifying for the Champions League next season.
After the game, some of the United players have taken to their social media accounts to react to the victory with David De Gea, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo celebrating on Twitter, while Daley Blind took to Instagram to ease fears over his injury after he was forced off with a nasty cut near his left eye.
Wayne Rooney uploaded a message to his Facebook page praising the teams spirit to get the win while he also congratulated Smalling on his two goals.
Check out what the players had to say here:
