[Video Goals] Man Utd 3-0 Stoke: Martial Scores Stunner As Reds Thrash Potters

Manchester United were back to their best as Louis van Gaal’s men eased to a 3-0 victory over Stoke City at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

United opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Jesse Lingard headed home from close range following a superb cross from youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, which was their first home goal in the first half since way back in September.

The Red Devils doubled their advantage just 10 minutes later and it was a superb team goal as Anthony Martial curled home in to the top corner following a flowing move involving Lingard, Rooney and Mata.

The three points were then assured shortly after half time when Rooney finished off a swift counter attack that saw Martial find his strike partner and the England man cooly slotted home for 3-0.

United remain fifth in the table following the win and are now five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal after they drew with Southampton at the Emirates.
