Tottenham will be looking to close in on the top four of the Premier League table when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Here is the side we think Mauricio Pochettino will select for the game:
Goalkeeper: The Spurs boss started Hugo Lloris for their final Champions League group stage game with CSKA Moscow in midweek and the French international is certain to keep his place between the sticks this weekend.
Defence: Toby Alderweireld made his long-awaited comeback from a knee injury with a substitute appearance in midweek so the Belgian international is now expected to return to the starting eleven on Sunday.
Eric Dier is the man most likely to drop out with Jan Vertonghen resuming his partnership with his countrymen in the middle of defence while Kyle Walker will once again start at right-back.
Ben Davies is back in contention after recovering from an ankle injury but Danny Rose should keep his place at left-back.
Midfield: Mousa Dembele was given a rest for the 3-1 win over CSKA on Wednesday night so he’s expected to return to the starting eleven this weekend. With Alderweireld back in defence it free’s Eric Dier to return to his midfield role but I think we’ll see Victor Wanyama retain his place in the middle of the park.
Attack: Pochettino surprisingly named almost a full strength side against Moscow in midweek so I’m not expecting too many changes in attack. Erik Lamela remains out with a hip injury while he’s also back in Argentina due to personal reasons so Heung-min Son should keep his place on the right.
Christian Eriksen will be looking to continue his recent run of form having scored 3 goals in his last 3 games while Dele Alli should also keep his place in attack.
Vincent Janssen has been ruled out for at least another week due to an ankle injury but Harry Kane would have started up front even if the Dutchman was available for selection.
Here is how I think we’ll see Spurs line-up:
