Tottenham Handed Quadruple Injury Boost Ahead Of Man Utd Clash But Trio Ruled Out
Tottenham will be looking to close-in on the top four when they take on Manchester United at Wembley tomorrow evening.
Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s offered the latest team news and injury update ahead of the game.
The Spurs boss was pleased to confirm some positive news as Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen are all back in full training.
Lloris missed the FA Cup fourth round draw at Newport County on Saturday due to illness while Eriksen has also missed Tottenham’s last two matches due to a virus.
Lamela sat out the trip to Newport at the weekend due to a buttock injury while Rose has been working his way back to full fitness after aggravating a long-term knee injury last month.
The quartet are now back in full training and Pochettino says they are in contention for the visit of United tomorrow night, however, Alderweireld remains unavailable.
The centre-back has missed Tottenham’s last 18 matches after suffering a serious hamstring injury against Real Madrid in November and although he’s back in full training, the Belgian still needs more time to regain full fitness.
Spurs will also continue to be without Harry Winks as the midfielder is still recovering from an ankle injury that’s hampered him in recent weeks while Serge Aurier is also still sidelined by a calf problem.
Injury news: Alderweireld, Eriksen, Lamela, Lloris, Rose all back in full training. Winks and Aurier still out and taking part in 'field-based reconditioning'.

No Toby Alderweireld for Spurs against #mufc tomorrow but Danny Rose could return. Poch: "He's out. He is still not fit to play. Danny Rose is on the list. He's in contention." Poch didn't want to talk about Lucas Moura just yet.

Tottenham head in to the midweek action sitting fifth in the Premier League table but they are just two points off fourth-placed Liverpool so will be looking to keep the pressure on with a win over United tomorrow night.
