[Team] Man Utd vs Cerezo Osaka: Van Persie Starts

Manchester United continue their pre-season preparations as they take on Cerezo Osaka this morning.

United have lost of their three pre-season friendlies so far including a 3-2 defeat to Yokohama F·Marinos last time out, so boss David Moyes will be hoping for an improved display today.

Striker Robin van Persie starts up front despite fears he had picked up a thigh problem against Yokohama, but the Dutchman was withdrawn at half-time as a precaution and he leads the line against Osaka.

It will be an extra special game for midfielder Shinji Kagawa as he faces his former side for the first time. He starts alongside Phil Jones, Ryan Giggs and Ashley Young in midfield as Michael Carrick is rested due to a niggling groin complaint.
