Chelsea came from behind to beat Sunderland 4-3 at the Stadium of Light with Eden Hazard putting in an inspired performance.
The hosts took the lead early on through Altidore but Chelsea levelled when Lampard was on hand to head home the equaliser. Eden Hazard then put the Blues 2-1 up with a superb effort just before half time but John O’Shea bundled the ball home for 2-2 just after the break.
Hazard restored Chelsea’s lead with another fine effort before Phil Bardsley put through his own net for 4-2. The defender then atoned for his error but pulled one back but Jose Mourinho’s men held on to secure the three points.
