Manchester United take on Sunderland at Old Trafford tomorrow night in the second leg of their Capital One Cup semi final.
United will be looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg which means boss David Moyes is expected to name a near full-strength team as he looks to reach the final at Wembley.
The Scot will be without the services of skipper Nemanaja Vidic after his appeal against his sending off against Chelsea on Sunday was rejected, so he’ll start his three-match ban on Wednesday.
Vidic’s absence could see Phil Jones drop back into defence to play alongside Jonny Evans, although Chris Smalling is another option. Patrice Evra was forced off against Chelsea at the weekend and is a fitness doubt which could see Alexander Buttner make a rare start at left back.
Marouane Fellaini is still working his way back to full fitness after wrist surgery so Tom Cleverley or Darren Fletcher could come in to midfield alongside Michael Carrick, while Adnan Januzaj and Antonio Valencia should keep their places.
Ashley Young was disappointing on Sunday so Shinji Kagawa could be given a chance to impress in attack. Wayne Rooney is back in training and has an outside chance of making the bench, but isn’t likely to be risked from the start. Robin van Persie remains out with a thigh strain.
